Congratulations to Hongliang Zhang for his new position as a professor at Fudan University! He will be joining them as a professor in the Institute of Modern Physics, and his research will focus on studying the effects of radiation and corrosion, as well as exploring novel applications of ion beam analysis.
Everyone here in the MaDCoR lab would like to thank Hongliang for his time with us. While in our group, he’s studied the pre-transition oxide porosity of zirconium alloys to better understand their breakdown mechanisms for nuclear fuel cladding applications, and managed collaboration with outside users for UW Madison’s Ion Beam Lab. It’s been a pleasure working with Hongliang, and we look forward to seeing all his future work at Fudan!
