Jagadeesh Sure is part of the MADCOR group in Department of Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (WI, USA) as a Scientist specialized in the molten salt corrosion and electrochemistry of materials at high temperature for energy applications. Before his appointment at UW-Madison, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Vellore Institute of Technology (TN, India), Research Associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory in EFRC-Molten Salts in Extreme Environments (NY, USA), and Postdoctoral Researcher at Dept. Materials Science and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK). His research was focused on the Nuclear materials, Molten salts, Electrochemistry and Corrosion, Different Alloy Systems for Structural Applications, High-entropy Materials (Alloys and Ceramics) for Energy and Structural Applications. He obtained his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at Homi Bhabha National Institute, (IGCAR, Kalpakkam, India) and Master in Materials Science at Andhra University (AP, India). Currently, his research mainly focuses on molten salt electrochemistry and corrosion of alloys, ceramics and ceramic composites for nuclear and solar energy applications.
