Changkyu Kim is a postdoctoral researcher of the MADCOR group in Department of Nuclear Engineering & Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his PhD degree in materials science & engineering from Texas A&M University in fall 2021. Before joining the group, he served his military service as Test & Evaluation analyst at ROK Army-HQ. His research interests include electrochemical approaches for investigating material degradations under corrosive environment. In the MADCOR group, his research focuses on the molten salt micro-electrochemistry and in-situ electrochemistry of irradiated fuel cladding.
In his free time, Changkyu enjoys playing tennis, watching movies, and shopping.
