Changkyu Kim, PhD

Changkyu Kim was a postdoctoral researcher of the MADCOR group in Department of Nuclear Engineering & Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his PhD degree in materials science & engineering from Texas A&M University in fall 2021. Before joining the group, he served his military service as Test & Evaluation analyst at ROK Army-HQ. His research interests include electrochemical approaches for investigating material degradations under corrosive environment. In the MADCOR group, his research focused on the molten salt micro-electrochemistry and in-situ electrochemistry of irradiated fuel cladding. Changkyu now works as a scientist at Idaho National Laboratory.
