Aaron Huxford is a senior in nuclear engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is working under Assistant Professor Adrien Couet and has been referred to as the “handy man” of the laboratory. He has built gas lines and feedthrough systems for the laboratory’s autoclaves, as well as helped with other experimental setups in the laboratory. At the 2017 American Nuclear Society Student Conference, Aaron presented on the experimental setup for in situ measurements of nuclear-cladding materials’ corrosion behavior. After obtaining his nuclear engineering degree, Aaron plans on pursuing graduate school in Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics.
