Nathan

Nathan is a PhD student and DoE fellow in the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Materials Science and Engineering program. His research focuses on the high-throughput screening of compositionally complex alloys (CCAs) for irradiation tolerance in the Ion Beam Laboratory, as well as detailed characterization and analysis of neutron irradiated CCAs.

In his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri – Rolla, Nathan’s research focused on the impact of grain size on mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steels as well as the mechanical testing of compositionally complex alloys. In his free time, Nathan enjoys baking, crocheting, hiking, and finding reasons to play board games with friends.
