Nathan is a Ph.D student and DoE fellow in the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Materials Science and Engineering program. In his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri – Rolla, Nathan’s research focused on the impact of grain size on mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steels as well as the mechanical testing of high entropy alloys. His current research with Dr. Couet focuses on the coupled corrosion and irradiation response of high entropy alloys for enhanced alloy design.

In his free time, Nathan enjoys baking, crocheting, hiking, and finding reasons to play board games with friends.
