Thermal and Electrical Finite Element Modeling for the Optimization of Electrochemical Experiments

People involved in the project

The laboratory’s complex geometry of electrochemical experiments leads distributions of current and potential line distributed in an arrangement that is non optimal on the sample under investigation. The work is done with the multiphysics framework MOOSE with all meshes generated in the modeling program Trelis. The calculation and understanding of both the electrical and thermal distribution in the autoclave will help in optimizing future experiments in order to obtain the best results and better understand current results.
