The lab took part in the 18th International Conference on Environmental Degradation of Materials in Nuclear Power Systems – Water Reactors, from August 13th to August 17th in Portland, OR. Leo Borrel and Michael Moorehead presented their work respectively on Modeling Oxidation Kinetics of Zirconium Alloys in Loss-of-Coolant Accident and Progressing Zirconium-Alloy Corrosion Models Using Synchrotron XANES.
