Kevin is a postdoctoral researcher in the MADCOR group, working in collaboration with the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission) in Paris-Saclay as part of the DAMSEL project. He obtained a generalist chemical engineering degree from Chimie ParisTech-PSL, and a Master’s in Materials Engineering from Polytechnique Montreal (Québec, Canada). He completed his these at the CIRIMAT Interuniversity Center of Materials Research and Engineering) laboratory in Toulouse (France) at the end of 2024, studying the effect of alloying elements (Al, W, Ta, Hf) on the high-temperature oxidation of near-alpha titanium alloys, using an experimental approach and atomic-scale simulations. Currently, his research focuses on the high-throughput experimentation of molten chloride corrosion of compositionally complex alloys (CCA) for the integration of new corrosion data into a machine learning model, building on the previous work of Bonita Goh. The aim is to better understand the mechanisms of corrosion by molten salts.
